Campus Ministry is an integral part of student life at De La Salle.
Through liturgies, immersion programs, retreats, worship and faith
groups, students are able to emulate the life and deeds of our Founder in
service to the poor.
Lasallian Youth
In the spirit of St. John Baptist de La Salle, students seek to know Christ intimately through a variety of experiences including direct service to the poor. Through their active participation students grow in leadership, spirituality, and a mature awareness of what it means to be a responsible follower of Christ. Lasallian Youth is made up of students who choose to take a leadership role in the spiritual direction of the school, as well as in the Christian Brothers District of San Francisco. Together with students from other Lasallian high schools, our students celebrate their oneness in faith and in Lasallian identity. Every summer, students from The San Francisco District gather for a week of service, work and prayer. Lasallian Youth meets on Thursdays at 7am in room 209.
Annual Programs
In addition, the student body participates in clothing and toy drives throughout the year. During Lent we hold a fundraising drive, "The Spartan Charity Challenge," to support Lasallian works throughout the world. Much-needed items of clothing are collected in advance of Ven a ver trips. The Campus Ministy Office maintains an updated list of service opportunities throughout the Bay Area.
