Congratulations to the Model UN team for an excellent performance at the UC Davis conference last weekend. Our small but dedicated group competed against 27 high schools from around the country, and sophomore Clayton Taylor won an award for representing Japan in the Human Rights Committee.

 

Important announcement about FOOD! Field Day, 2013, is Wednesday, 5/22. If you plan to eat lunch on that day you have two options: 1) Buy a BBQ ticket from Chartwells today, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday morning or 2) bring your lunch.

 

Sophomores!!! This Thursday, the day after Field Day, we will be having the end of the year Sophomore Social/Talent Show during lunch. There will be pizza and a drink served for $1 in the football field bleachers. Along with this great deal, there will be student performances by B.J. Querubin, Nick Crossen, Will Inman, and Justin Hooper attempting to dethrone rap-master Olu. There will also be performances by CHS sophomore girls. YOU MUST BRING A STUDENT ID TO ENTER THIS EVENT and YOU MUST BE A SOPHMORE. Pizza and a drink for a dollar, rap battles, girls, c'mon why wouldn't you go? Sophomores, be there this Thursday during lunch in the bleachers!

 

Attention all Spartans interested in participating in a Summer Camp for elementary age kids. The Monument Crisis Center has a Summer Camp that runs from June 26 through August 8. If you are interested in volunteering, see Mr. Hassett in Campus Ministry.

 

Juniors: Registration for next year’s Kairos retreats is open on our website!

 

For all students who are interested in being a part of Chorale or Concert Choir for 2013-14 - you have until May 31stto set up an audition with Mrs. Way at CHS. You can find her in the CHS Music Room during break or lunch.

Today:          With the victory over Las Lomas on Saturday, Varsity Lacrosse will take on Novato on Wednesday at DLS – 7PM. Tickets are $9 and $6. Gates open at 5:30.

 

                       NCS Meet OF Champions this Friday and Saturday at UC Berkeley.

 

                       The Varsity Baseball The team has earned the #2 Seed in the NCS championships and will play this Friday at home at 4PM vs the winner of Freedom/Dougherty Valley. 

 

The Varsity Golf Team is playing in the NorCal Championships today at Diablo Grande Golf Club.
