50th Anniversary Campaign
As we celebrate the school’s first 50 years of service, we need to plan for the next 50. As a strong and sound institution, we can plan proactively for our future, and we will do so by focusing on Academics, Access, Arts and Athletics.
In all these areas, De La Salle High School is planning for transformational change, because we have been blessed with a gift of $25 million from Jean and Kenneth H. Hofmann. They asked us to dream big, and we have. The Hofmanns are visionary individuals who believe in our mission, and this unprecedented gift will allow us to enhance our facilities to match the quality of our faculty and students. It will also provide financial aid for many families who desire a Catholic, Lasallian education for their sons but are not able to afford it.
The Hofmanns know how De La Salle carries out the Lasallian mission of touching hearts and developing minds, and we are thrilled that they have chosen to invest in our future. We are also grateful for the blessing of the Bishop of Oakland, Michael C. Barber, S.J. His service as Honorary Co-Chair of this Campaign, alongside the Hofmanns, encourages us in our commitment to providing comprehensive and accessible Catholic education. Our hope is that you will follow these community leaders and De La Salle supporters, and will make your own transformational gift to the school.
We invite you to consider these significant questions:
• What has De La Salle meant to my family and me?
• What will it mean to future generations of young men?
• Is there a more important gift I can make, than one that shapes a moral, compassionate, and well-educated young man who will be a future leader?
In the coming months, you will be invited to support the 50th Anniversary Campaign for De La Salle. We hope you will join us in this ambitious effort, and we thank you in advance for your enduring commitment to this important work.
