Annual Fund

The De La Salle Annual Fund is a financial cornerstone to the School's continuing growth and excellence. Your gift to the Annual Fund ensures that every De La Salle student has an opportunity to fully embrace the Spartan experience and is provided a quality education by preserving and strengthening the breadth of academic and co-curricular programs. Simply said, the Annual Fund helps us deliver on our promise to educate our diverse students into men of faith, scholarship and integrity.

Your participation in the Annual Fund supports three critical School priorities:

• Financial Aid
Sustains our financial aid program to ensure a quality Lasallian education is accessible to all deserving young students who desire it;

• Student Programs
Enhances student offerings by funding co-curricular programs, such as campus ministry, athletics, music, yearbook, art, theater, clubs, forensics, community service opportunities and more, providing a superior educational environment in and out of our classrooms to prepare students for challenges they will face as they grow into adulthood;

• Faculty Development
Attracts, retains, supports and develops our dedicated faculty to provide all De La Salle students the best possible academic education.

Additionally, The Annual Fund benefits every family that walks through our doors by bridging a close to $1,200 gap between tuition revenue and the actual cost of educating a student-essentially providing a "hidden scholarship" to each and every student. Your partnership in the Annual Fund allows us to stay true to our Lasallian mission to serve varied academic needs and diverse socio-economic backgrounds by remaining affordable to as many families as possible.

We rely on the generosity of donors-parents, alumni, alumni parents, grandparents, faculty, staff and friends-to create a strong Annual Fund that sustains, enriches and completes our dynamic and uncommon learning environment. Our goal is 100% parent and alumni participation and we hope we can count on your support, enabling the School to develop our students' minds, bodies and spirit in the tradition of Lasallian values.

Please consider joining the tradition that enriches the mind and heart today by making a gift to the De La Salle Annual Fund. Every gift counts and participation at all levels is encouraged. Your generosity will make a difference today.

Endowment for Financial Aid

At the heart of our founder and patron saint of teachers--John Baptist de La Salle--is service to and education of the poor. To ensure a quality Lasallian education remains accessible to all, one of our highest funding priorities is financial aid. Support may be designated as an outright gift or to the endowment for financial aid.

An endowment works this way: with the fund balance remaining intact, each year an annual payout is made to support students in need of financial aid. As the market allows, a portion of capital appreciation is also reinvested into principal to help ensure fund growth over time and ultimately, increasing support for financial aid.

This type of support provides a lasting legacy to De La Salle, its donors and those in need of financial support. Naming opportunities are available for endowed funds.

Alumni Endowment for Financial Aid

Endowments provide a legacy and a long-term investment to the School.

This year, the Alumni Endowment for Financial Aid was established with a gift of $35,000 and encourages additional gifts from alumni to provide a lasting tribute from alumni to the School. A percentage of the annual income from the endowment will be paid out each year to support students who are unable to afford the full cost of a Lasallian education. In keeping with the mission of St. John Baptist de La Salle, the alumni association has committed to the growth of the fund by allocating half of all annual alumni event proceeds to support the endowment.

Financial assistance goes right to the heart of the Lasallian tradition and what it means to be a Spartan. Your contribution to the Alumni Endowment for Financial Aid will ensure our tradition of providing a quality education to an economically diverse student body for years to come.
