As part of Tuesday’s Thanksgiving Prayer Service, De La Salle High School launched its annual Toy Drive for the 2021 Christmas season. Toys will benefit children living in poverty who would otherwise not have a Christmas. The toy drive will run from November 17th through December 16th.
The agencies that benefit from this year’s De La Salle Toy Drive include the Bay Area Crisis Nursery, Oakland Catholic Worker, Running with Love, the De La Salle Academy, and the Monument Crisis Center.
De La Salle students are asked to buy a new non-violent toy for boys and girls and bring it to school unwrapped. De La Salle students are divided by grade level to purchase gifts for the following age groups:
|Freshmen – 0-3 years
Sophomores – 4-7 years
|Juniors – 8-10 years
Seniors – 11-13 years
Donated toys can either be delivered to the student’s Religion class or directly to the Hofmann Student Center, where tables will be set up for the toys.
