As the 2022-23 academic year begins for De La Salle High School, the De La Salle/Carondelet Theatre Company will get off to a quick start with the Black Box production of Godspell Jr. The play will be open for two nights, Friday and Saturday, August 12th and 13th at 7 p.m. in the Brother Celestine Cormier, FSC, Theatre.

The Black Box Production of Godspell Jr. will take place in just two short weeks, with student rehearsals beginning on August 1, tech rehearsals running from August 8-11, and the play running for two nights.

Godspell Jr. features a group of disciples who help Jesus Christ tell different parables by using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques, and a hefty dose of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, are employed as the story of Jesus' life dances across the stage. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus' messages of kindness, tolerance, and love come vibrantly to life.

For more information or to purchase tickets, visit the De La Salle Theatre Company web page. General Admission tickets are $5 each and can be purchased online (with a GoFan convenience fee) or at the door.
