The Winton Games: A Celebration of Community and Friendly Rivalry
The Winton Games are one of those traditions that instantly spark excitement across campus. It’s an energetic, friendly competition that brings De La Salle and Carondelet together during Catholic Schools Week. What began years ago as a full week of games has evolved into a high-energy lunchtime showdown, but the spirit remains the same: community, camaraderie, and a whole lot of fun. Inspired by the “Squid Games”-style format the students love, the Winton Games feature a series of fast-paced challenges that steadily whittle down the competition, keeping everyone on their toes until the very end.
Throughout the lunch period, students compete both with and against Carondelet in a mix of relay races and classic childhood games—red light/green light, head-shoulders-knees-and-toes, and more. The result is equal parts laughter, intensity, and school pride, all wrapped into a celebration of Catholic Schools Week and the shared traditions that connect our communities. A special thank you to Rocco DuPont and Mr. Eidson for helping us capture the history, heart, and excitement of the Winton Games.
