School Establishes Task Force for Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging

The De La Salle Task Force on Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging has been established to provide an opportunity for exchange, dialogue, and to suggest a pathway forward for De La Salle. The recommendations from this group will touch on the curricular, co-curricular, cultural, and professional needs to hold honest conversations on race, equity, and inclusion. Likewise, this group will consider the cultural competencies and needs of De La Salle to best facilitate dialogue and growth.

The purpose of the Task Force on Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging is to develop recommendations to create a truly inclusive school community. The group is ad hoc and its non-binding recommendations will be presented to the President and President’s Cabinet for consideration.

Task Force members include:

  • Members from the faculty, staff, and coaches
  • At least one member from the President’s Cabinet, Academic Affairs Council, and Campus Life and Culture
  • Board of Trustees member
  • Parent representatives
  • Alumni representatives (parents of alumni or alumni)
  • Student representatives
  • Cultural Competency or similar community leaders
