Four De La Salle Students Receive Commendation from National Merit Scholarship Program

Concord, Calif. – De La Salle today announced that four of its students have been named Commended Students in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program based on their exceptional academic promise, as demonstrated by their outstanding performance on the qualifying test used for program entry. This year’s high-performing students are Martin Gomez de la Vega, Hudson Hilal, Joshua Huang, and Marcus Kauffman.

Each student was presented with a Letter of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) by Dr. Heather Alumbaugh, Vice President for Academic Life at De La Salle High School.

Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the program and took the 2023 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT™/NMSQT®). Today’s announcement recognizes the exceptional academic promise of our Commended Students.
