A Dozen De La Salle Students Recognized by College Board National Recognition Program
Concord, Calif. – De La Salle today announced that 12 students have been awarded Academic Honors from the College Board National Recognition Program for their achievements in the classroom and on College Board assessments. This year’s roster of seniors continues a high-performing trend of De La Salle minority students being recognized for their hard work and academic effort.
Please join us in congratulating Austin Berry, Lucas Berry, Chris Carey, Javier Cordova, Martin Gomez de la Vega, Andrew Jimenez, Andrew Johansen, Blake McCall, Peter McKenna, Ian Moore, Jose Rodriguez and Gannon Taylor on their achievement.
The National Recognition Program grants underrepresented students with academic honors that can be included on college and scholarship applications to help them stand out during the college admission process. To be eligible, students must have a GPA of 3.3 or higher and be in the top 10% of PSAT/NMSQT® or PSAT 10 test takers in their state, or earn a score of 3 or higher on two or more AP® exams.
High-achieving students from all 50 states were eligible to apply this year. Of those, 90,000 students earned academic honors from the College Board’s National Recognition Programs.
