Dear De La Salle Families:
Each year we have the responsibility to provide you with our annual asbestos statement. This notice is being sent to all parents and guardians of students, as required by the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA). In compliance with this EPA regulation, a complete asbestos survey of our facility was conducted in 1988-89, and an Asbestos Management Plan was produced.
This document includes a listing of all identified materials and detailed procedures for use when disturbing these materials. The Asbestos Management Plan also contains records of all previous response actions (activities which may or are intended to disturb asbestos-containing materials). All response activities are carried out following EPA, Cal/OSHA, and local Air Quality Control Board requirements. This document is on file at the school office and is available for review.
As required by the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA), we hereby notify you that a six-month periodic inspection was conducted in October, and revealed no new changes. Our next, more comprehensive re-inspection, performed every three years, is due in October 2026.
