Parent Education Series
We invite De La Salle and Carondelet parents and guardians to this special screening of Angst, a documentary about teenage anxiety.
“We choose this movie because – as well-documented in research and in our own surveys of our students – teenagers experience high levels of stress and anxiety, due to multiple and competing causes,” explained Dr. Heather Alumbaugh, Vice President for Academic Life. “Our work with Stanford University’s Challenge Success program underscores the need to offer educational opportunities for students and their families to seek and find balance.” A discussion will follow the conclusion of the screening. If you are not a current DLS family and would like to attend our screening of Angst, we ask that you kindly register through this link.
Then, on October 18 at 6:30 p.m., you are invited to Striking Balance for You and Your Student: Taking Time to Stop and Smell the Roses, a conversation with experts, including DLS Director of Educational Technology Michael Aqunio, about finding school-life balance at Carondelet High School.
