World Languages

Our De La Salle High School World Languages Department offers a variety of modern and classical languages for the enrichment of our students. It is our belief that students come to a better understanding of their own language through the acquisition of a second language. In addition to the development of the productive skills of speaking and writing, as well as the receptive skills of listening and reading, we encourage our students to dive deeply into the diverse cultures affiliated with the language they are learning. In doing so, we challenge them to go beyond rote learning and develop an attitude of respect and appreciation for the cultural and linguistic diversity of the immediate environment, their nation, and the world.
