Spartan For A Day

Join the Spartan Brotherhood for a Day!

The Spartan for a Day shadow visit program gives future students the opportunity to experience the traditions, students, and faculty that make De La Salle High School a unique academic community.

Shadow visits are for 8th grade male students only and are limited to one visit per student. The beginning of the 2021-22 Spartan for a Day shadow program has not been determined at this time.

Each Spartan for a Day tour session includes two groups of 15 prospective students, allowing for 30 sign-ups for each day. Tours occur on a first-come, first-served basis.

If your son is currently in eighth-grade and wants to register for one of our Spartan for a Day openings, you will need to complete the Admission Inquiry Form, then select the date and time for your shadow visit.

2021-22 Spartan for a Day Schedule

Due to COVID-19 guidelines for Contra Costa County, and De La Salle High School's commitment to adhering to these guidelines to keep everyone on our campus safe. Instead of offering day-long shadow visits this year, we will be offering an opportunity for 8th-grade students to spend the morning at De La Salle for guided tours, class observations, and Q&A sessions with current students and key leaders. This event will provide the opportunity for prospective students to interact with the De La Salle community in a meaningful way.Your son will need to wear a mask at all times while on campusAll prospective students attending the De La Salle High School Spartan for a Day  program are asked to review, sign, and submit on the day of attendance this Spartan For A Day COVID-19 Waiver Form

Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test taken within 72 hours is required for all student guests (and any parents who choose to stay on campus). Please note that guests who do not provide the appropriate documentation upon arrival will not be allowed to stay on campus. Should you have questions about the types of COVID tests we accept, please reach out to admissions@dlshs.org.

Welcome Parents!  We’d like to extend an invitation to you after you drop your son off for his Spartan for a Day Tour Program to join us for a meet and greet session with a school administrator.  This session will last approximately 30 minutes, and will serve as a great opportunity to learn more about what our school has to offer you as a family.  Following this meeting, we welcome you to stay for the remainder of your son’s experience and use our Wifi to complete any work that may need to be done, or simply take some time to relax.  If you’d prefer to simply drop your son off and return after his visit, that is completely welcome, but we thought we’d offer you an opportunity to visit with those that run the school.

You are welcome to park in any open spot on campus.
