Alumni Events

Former De La Salle basketball players were invited back to campus for the annual Alumni Basketball Game and Family Reception on Saturday, December 21. The event took place after the Spartans' game against Sacred Heart Cathedral in the Christian Brothers Classic.

This year, we kicked off Christmas break with our annual Rugby Alumni Day on Saturday, December 21. The event featured an alumni versus the current varsity rugby team, in a game of touch. Following the game, the Alumni Association hosted a post-game reception at Rocco's Pizzera.

Five-Year Reunion for the Class of 2019

The years have flown by, and on November 27th De La Salle and Carondelet Alumni gathered at Primo's in Danville to reminisce and rejoice over dinner and drinks.

This year's annual alumni soccer game was held on Wednesday, November 27, just in time to work up your Thanksgiving appetite. Starting at 11 am at Owen Owens Field, former Spartans played an alumni game before gathering in the LAPC Lobby with their families for a hosted reception.

We hosted our annual De La Salle Golf Classic on Monday, October 28 at Diablo Country Club. The sold out event raised over $90,000 for the Brotherhood Fund, thanks to our sponsors and loyal golfers. In additional to raising funds to benefit the De La Salle students, the Golf Classic provides an opportunity for Spartan friends and family to reunite for a day on the links. 

One of our Signature Events,  a Taste of De La Salle was held on Thursday, September 12. The event offered a delightful opportunity to enjoy great food, wine, and beer from local vendors while interacting with other members of our De La Salle community. All proceeds support our co-curricular activities, including Athletics, Campus Ministry, Company, Band, Robotics, and more. The event featured tastings from wineries in Napa, Sonoma, Livermore, and Central Valley, as well as pours from local breweries, and delicious food samplings from top restaurants in the area. Visit the Taste of De La Salle webpage for more information about this event. 

Fall sport affinity events were capped off when De La Salle welcomed back more than 50 Spartan football alumni on September 6 for its annual Alumni Tailgate Reunion. De La Salle gridiron greats, spanning four decades, gathered in the Brothers’ Residence to reminisce about their glory days, before watching the current Spartans post a 39-10 victory over Serra later that night. 

On Saturday, August 24, more than 30 runners gathered at Heather Farm Park for our 31st Annual Alumni Cross Country Run. Spartans spanning six decades took to the course, challenging the 2024 varsity team. This year's varsity team, which might be the best team in recent history, has their eyes on winning a North Coast Section title. Led by senior sensation, Trey Caldwell, the 2024 Spartans out kicked that De La Salle alumni runners. Families and friends enjoyed a hosted post-run reception and alumni ended the day with a pizza lunch at Rocco’s Pizzeria.

Hope really does float! Water polo is not necessarily a sport you can play on a regular basis so when our alumni show up on the pool deck, they mean business – with substitutions of course. In a hard-fought battle, our current varsity team took down our alumni 20-18. Alumni, friends, and family stayed for a pool deck reception and celebrated the upcoming Hall of Fame induction of long-time water polo and swimming coach Scott Hirsch ’82.

On Saturday, August 3, De La Salle and Carondelet will host the third Grand Reunion. Supporting the classes ending in the years 4 and 9, this the event is open to all alumni 21 and older from both sides of Winton Drive. Tickets include food, beverages, and a lively performance from the local band, Tainted Love. Once again, it should be an evening to remember!

Time flies, and it’s time to say cheers to 50 years class of 1974! We want to celebrate you and all of your accomplishments since leaving Winton Drive. Join your classmates to reminisce and make new memories together on the weekend of August 2, 2024. On Friday evening, join your classmates from 1974 at the Concord Hilton for a welcome party on the patio. Then, keep the fun going into Saturday evening with the annual DLS/Carondelet Grand Reunion. With food, drinks, and live music, this is the perfect way to end your reunion experience and summer.

We held the 40th annual Brother Maris Golf Touranment on June 7th at Boundary Oak Golf Course. Visit the Brother Maris Golf Tournament webpage for a brief recap and photo gallery from the event.

On Saturday, April 20, the De La Salle Volleyball program opened the gym doors at 10 am for warm-ups followed by a meet and greet between the volleyball alumni and our current players, before competing in an Alumni vs. Alumni volleyball match, which was then followed by a hosted reception in the LAPC lobby. 

This spring, students from both sides of Winton Drive performed in the musical Anything Goes. On April 19, alumni from Company joined the cast and crew for a  pre-performance reception on campus. 

On April 10th we held our second annual Alumni Association Senior Day, to introduce our seniors to De La Salle's Alumni Association and to give them access to alumni who are experts in their professional fields. We were joined by more than two dozen alumni guest speakers representing various industry sectors from finance and investing, to real estate, tourism, marketing, legal, medical, engineering, public service, technology, and education.

On March 26th, former Spartans from the lacrosse program returned to campus to support the current lacrosse team when they played Monte Vista. 

Previous baseball players came to Koch Diamond to support the current Spartans when they took on Sacramento powerhouse Granite Bay on March 23. Alumni and family will enjoy complimentary concessions. 

As part of the De La Salle swimming and diving team hosting Jesuit of Sacramento on March 8, we hosted a number of swimming alumni for the event, before all enjoyed a hosted BBQ and tour of our campus.
