Track & Field

Student competing in high jump

Our Track and Field program has seen great athletes come through year after year to compete at the section and state levels. Dating back to 1976, our program has won 27 league championships. Spartans have also won 14 section championships and six NCS Meet of Champions. Since 2007, we have had 17 top-10 individual finishes in the CIF State Meet, across a variety of different events. This includes four champions: Marquis Morris who won the 110 Hurdles in 2013 and the 300 Hurdles in 2014, Chase Wheeler who won the Long Jump in 2009, and Chukwunonso Udeh who won the Long Jump in 2023.

Track and Field is a no-cut sport and all Spartan student-athletes are welcome to participate. The program develops athletes on the track but also works hard in the weight room to develop strength. The program’s success over the years is fueled by hard work and commitment to the details of form and technique.
