Campus Ministry

Campus Ministry takes very seriously the Lasallian call to faith, service and community. Through retreats, immersion programs, and opportunities for worship and prayer, the faith life of the community is enhanced. By providing opportunities to serve those less fortunate than ourselves, we respond to the Gospel call to service. All of these experiences combined help to build a strong community committed to building the Kingdom of God.

Campus Ministry is an integral part of student life at De La Salle and with participation in the Lasallian Youth, students are able to emulate the life and deeds of our Founder in service, faith and community.

The Campus Ministry has prepared many opportunities for your sons to experience the De La Salle brotherhood and a vital faith life. We strongly encourage you to sign up for the retreats that fill up fast, especially the Senior Kairos and/or the Father/Son and Parent/Son Retreats. You might also want to begin thinking about your sons participating in one of the Ven A Ver (Come and See) Immersion programs.

Immersion Programs

Students at De La Salle are offered opportunities to practice the Lasallian heritage of service and concern for the poor. All Sophomores and Juniors have the opportunity to participate in an Immersion Program, a one-day experience of walking in the shoes of the poor and marginalized.

Junior and Seniors have the opportunity to participate in our Ven a Ver (Spanish for “Come and See”) immersion programs which find their foundation in the rich tradition of Catholic Social Teaching and The Hebrew and Christian Scriptures – The Bible.

Retreat Experiences

The Campus Ministry Program offers a number of retreat opportunities for all grade levels. Freshman, Sophomore and Junior Retreats are free and part of the Religious Studies curriculum. The Senior Retreats are optional and require online registration and fees (financial aid is available). Below is a list of retreat opportunities offered at De La Salle High School. Click on the link below to learn more about each retreat option or to register.

Worship and Prayer

Throughout the year, the De La Salle community gathers for Worship and Prayer. These gatherings include all-school Masses, as well as Thanksgiving, Advent and Lenten prayer services. All liturgical celebrations are planned and executed with student involvement. Complete schedules for all liturgy services can be found on the Worship and Prayer webpage. Fr. LaSalle offers daily mass during the week in the Chapel at 7:45am. All are welcome.
