Jim Olwell Duck Race

Our Duck Race fundraiser is in honor of Mr. Jim Olwell, a beloved Math teacher, coach, and former student who battled cancer twice before passing in 2017. Students purchase rubber ducks and then see which one will “swim” across the pool first. All proceeds go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). The money raised helps fund research and also supports individuals and families who are diagnosed with blood cancer.

Our 2025 Annual Jim Olwell Memorial Duck Race was a complete success! Hundreds of ducks floated down the pool and the competition was stiff! Mrs. Lynn Guidi, Campus Ministry Assistant, took home the gold with the fastest duck!. All proceeds went to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
